WOW-I'm lazy!!

So its been almost a year since my last post-to say I've been lazy would be a bit understated. But it hard to keep up, you know with work, kids, and Facebook!! But I feel the need to update this-since it was a really good way to keep my friends updated. So here goes:

Logan turned 7 yesterday!! I still can't believe he is not that little boy anymore. He has really grown up and I am amazed at what he can do now. He is doing so much better in school-1st grade. He is on a good medication, and has a wonderful teacher. He still has some issues, but overall I am so proud of him!

Alex is 3 , almost 4 in May and he is my whipper snapper!! His vocabulary has really exploded and although he still is a little behind in the communication department, he has really come a long way. He makes me laugh every single day. He is so sweet and sincere. He loves his new school and they are teaching him a lot.

Justin-well Justin finally got awarded social security disability-THANK GOD!!! It sure has helped us out financially. Of course I wish he could return to work, but for now, at least we can cover our bills. He is still in pain, but is doing better with dealing with it. He just got into TWO accidents in the last 2 weeks. Last week his brakes failed and he side swiped 5 cars, and then just tonight he got rear-ended. All I can do is laugh about it, because that seems better then crying, right??

Me-well things are pretty good here-I started working out of another of my company's office, which means that I no longer have to take phone calls, do not have a set schedule and my production is less. I also am partners on the group with one of my good friends and it has really brought us back together. I love my new freedom and job security. I am training for a 5K--which is something I thought I would NEVER do. I hate running...period. But my friend inspired me to do it with her, and I started a very nice slow training program that is manageable. The 5K is June 27, so I have some time, I would just like to say that I completed it, and maybe I'll even lose weight!!

So that's about it for now-I could probably write 3 books on all the gory details of the last year, but I'll spare everyone. I hope to keep updating this blog more often!!

Alex's 3rd Birthday!!!!

Well today is my baby's 3rd birthday. I can't believe that he is 3 already, where did the time go??? We had his birthday party this past weekend, just a small family gathering, but he was happy! He got to jump in the moonbounce, eat cake and get presents--that's all that mattered to him!! He got a new 2 wheel bike, so now he can ride with Logan, and also got a tricycle to match Logans. He also got a little John Deere tractor today which he loves!!
I think back on the day he was born, and how happy I was to have another boy and a brother for Logan. I just knew he would be a happy and sweet little boy. He has brought me such joy and love. Although he can be a handful, I love being his mother and watching him and Logan play together, I can just tell they will be the best of friends!!

Here's a look at his past Birthdays-I bought him a birthday hat with removable numbers for the age, when he was 1 and now he has worn it every birthday.

Happy Easter!!

Well it was another cold one, but the Easter Bunny still managed to hide the eggs outside for the kids to find. The boys loved everything in their easter baskets, Logan especially loved his chocolate bunny and Alex loved his Jay Jay the jet plane bed set. Then we went over Aunt Carols for the traditional basket and egg hunt. There is just something about Easter that is so much more enjoyable then Christmas for me. I guess its just less hectic and it means that warmer weather will be here soon!!!

Great Wolf Lodge

This past weekend me and the boys, along with my MIL and FIL, and 2 nephews went to The Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. Its a huge hotel with an indoor waterpark, and lots of other fun things for kids. Logan was so excited to go stay in a hotel, he has never been. I knew the kids would love the waterpark and I was right. They spent hours there and it was nice, we could go for awhile, dry off, go back to the room to rest and then eat and go back to the waterpark. Logan's favorite part was the wave pool and the slides, and Alex loved watching the big bucket dump water and the slides. They loved the room, it had a nice little fireplace and 2 bedrooms. The only bad part was the sleeping-or should I say, the lack there of! Alex has never slept in a room with other people, and has never slept with me in bed. So he thought it was play time-all night long! Then Logan and my 4 year old nephew were all wound up, and were either playing or fighting. I did NOT enjoy that part-but other then that the trip was alot of fun and we hope to go back again.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY LOGAN!!

Today is Logan's birthday-he is 6 years old! His birthday is always and extra special day for me because it is the anniversary of the day that I became a mother. I love being Logan's mother, even though at times it can wear me down! But I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have such a special bond with Logan and even though he has been through a lot in the last few years, I have such high hopes for him and can't wait to see him grow and become something wonderful!

I took Logan to school so I could bring his class donuts and when he walked in the class as his friends shouted surprise-Happy Birthday! Then the teacher made him a birthday crown which he wore all day and they sung to him. Then when he got home I had balloons and a big banner for him and gave him some of his presents. His favorite gift was the portable DVD player that he has been asking for, so he can watch TV in the car. His birthday party is on Saturday at the Kids First Swim Club. Several of his friends from school are coming as well as family. I'm sure he will have a blast!!

Snow Tubing!!!

Well I've never been snow tubing, or skiing for that matter, so when I heard about this place that was less then an hour away from me where it was nothing but snow tubing, it seemed like ther perfect place to go. I knew it wouldn't be good to take Alex, but Logan was so excited!! We went with my brother Rick and his girlfriend Laura. After a very interesting ride there (the GPS decided to avoid ALL major roads and took us through corn fields and farms!), we got there around 1:00. We immediately got in line with our tubes to go up the pulley track, which hooks to your tube and drags you up the hill. Logan was a little scared at first, as was I, but as soon as we got to the top and got ready, the man did not give us any time to second guess!! We zoomed down the hill together and loved it!!! We ended up spending most of the day there, trying the different lanes and even the kiddie slope. I would love to go back again with more people, and stay the night at the hotel there-it was such a fun day!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

The boys both had Valentine's Day parties at school on Friday-so they already had lots of candy and cards. But I always get them something special. Logan really wanted the movie Space Buddies, so I got him that, and a big Hershey Kiss.

Alex got a light up globe and a small box of chocolates, along with the big Hershey Kiss too.

Then we went with all the cousins swimming and then got ice cream from Dairy Queen. It was a very "sweet" day!!
